Hey

kid,

Are you happy?

Are you scared?

What’s the point of living your life if you’re not even there?

Let your mind wander,

Let it grow,

Let it dream,

Don’t be the kite that’s stuck up there way in a tree.

I understand, it’s hard,

And I’ll come up there and get you down,

I’ll tear and I’ll twist

Until you’re finally you experience freedom,

I’ll tell you the exact spot where I wanted to hang from,

As I tell you, you’ll ask me ‘Who got you down?’,

But eventually you’ll realize it came from the sound,

Within myself,

That broke me from the tree

Allowing me to land on the ground,

Where I could be me.

So,

kid,

Follow that voice.
